So we shall create a whole new battle pack for future sealed pack use if so desired. This sealed pack will allow 90 card pools to be a thing. This will be similar to MTG

Set name: Working title
Set contents: 270 cards
Set theme: Medieval (Dragons/Knights/Spellcasters)

[code[/code]

All input would be appreciated.

Current Progress: /270

My progress will be in-game and cards that are posted here are generally "final"

Are we making up game formats now? Is this a thing we're doing for STs?

The only Battle Pack that should be used in sealed play is Battle Pack: Epic Dawn. Since it's the only pack we know the card pools for.

But Sealed Pack tournaments really shouldn't be a thing in DMG in the first place. We dont have the ability to emulate the rules of those tournaments.

In a Sealed Pack tournament it's possible to pull more than 3 copies of a single card, and if you do, you're allowed to run all 4+ copies of the card you pulled. This is impossible with DMG.

There are 3 formats for Sealed Pack Tournament Deck rules. 5 Packs - 20 Card Minimum Deck, 10 Packs - 30 Card Minimum Deck, and 10 Pack - 40 Card Minimum Deck. The Competitive Format is the 2nd Format and the other 2 are for casual play. We cant let people make a 30 card deck. The only work around for this is to make a 40 card deck and then move 10 cards to your side deck at the start of each round. This is cumbersome method and is easy to exploit for cheating.

And building your own pack in-general for tournaments is essentially the same thing as making your own banlist for tournaments, which we dont allow.

So rapture's custom banlist ST was allowed...why?

It's not like we are adding custom cards. We decided that a 270 cards set with 90 card pools would make for an interesting and more careful deckbuild vs a 50 card pool with 30 card min. It would eliminate the 30 card deck then rendering it to be a bit more casual but thats fine because most of DMG is casual anyways. The sets wouldn't even be allowed for use unless approved by someone higher up and a good example would be Mach or Swift. (Not sure if Jem counts but I could be wrong. Think Jem is just RMs soo)

If we gave a custom banlist ST a try already, why not allow a custom sealed when there are players interested in it already?

We've never done anything but make up game formats. TCG+OCG+Anime(+Manga) cards with (mostly) TCG rules is definitely not real.

And what about all those stupid gimmicks that TMs have hosted?

I wasn't aware we had a custom banlist ST. How long ago was this?
